In the book the hunger games a lot of things connected to the real world. There was also one thing that stood out to me. I thought that the capital was a metaphor for the United Sates of America. We usually don’t have to struggle in order to survive. Even people on the poorer side have enough to eat and fill their stomachs. Some other countries live in poverty with only some people that are successful.
A lot of people waste a lot of money on things they don’t need. Some people waste money like nobody needs it. We waste money on clothes just to be in style while other people don’t have enough money to even buy clothes to cover their skin. Also people waste money on electronics that we don’t really need such as televisions. People in other countries could use that money in order to buy things they need such as fresh, clean water. Also a lot of people even myself sometimes throw out food they don’t want or we don’t even eat it. Other people in other countries are happy just to have something in their stomachs. Some of us are ungrateful for what we have such as food, water, shelter and clothes. Overall we have a better life compared to other countries.
Other countries cant do the same things that we can. They might not be able to afford to get fresh water or food. A lot of people in the world go hungry every night. Some people don’t even have shelter. They might not even have clothes to cover themselves with. . Also people that don’t have enough are grateful for everything.

ReplyDeleteDavid i agree with you that the most poorest give the most thanks. this is what i had written about in my project. you and i both have the same perspective but we are not the society that rules over. we are like the capitol but we ourselves cant survive with our resources. we owe debt to china which doesn't make us a perfect society. but i do agree that people with the most don't think of what they have and people with the least are more grateful
