Divergent

Over the last two weeks, i have been reading the book Divergent. It is about a girl named Beatrice and she has to take a test because she is 16 now. The test is about the faction that you have to choose. there is selflessness, amity, and etc. In the paragraph below I will talk about the conflict in the story.

Even though there was many conflicts, the biggest conflict so far was the test. Beatrice was so nervous about what faction she would get. She had a choice to pick a knife or a piece of chees and she didn't pick anything. A giant dog came out and it was angry. It would have been so much easier to stop it with one of those items. This part was a conflict in the book.

This book related to real world because you have to choose groups in real life. In school there's an athletic group, a nerdy group and etc. People have to pick what the y want to do with their life. When people work they have to be honest, when people play sports the have to be brave and fight. Some things in the real world. This book lso relates to the Hunger Games because at a certain age they have to put their name in at least once. All of these things relate to the real world.

The Hunger Games is about how a boy and a girl from each district get picked to compete in the hunger games. The main characters Katniss and Peeta were chosen for district 12. At the end Katniss and Peeta both won. In this book i thought that it had to do with the real world. The reasons below will show you why.

One reason why I thought the book had to do with the real world because of the change from childhood to adulthood. In the Hunger Games, once you turned 12, you had to put your name in at least once. Also when you turned 18, you are done with the reapings. In the real world, you graduate to different grades and schools. Also religious people who have Barmitzah, or confirmation, you become an adult to your religion. And lastly, when you turn 16 or 17 you gen get a liscence for your vehicles.

Another reason why the hunger games world and the real worls is the same because of the way it is culturally valued. in our world, we have a melting pot, holidays, liberty, the electoral election, and etc. In the Hunger games, they have the hunger games, trading, the capitol, and hunting for game. All of these thing relate to the things in our world.
