peeta says he wants to die as himself. he has given up on the hunger games believing that he will die. but if he dies at least he will die as himself and not as a piece of the hunger games. what really sticks to my mind is that he says that he wants to die as himself. and that both suprised and scared me. i mean when people die do they stay true to themselves or do they die as someone else? and it's scary. peeta lives in a world where saying something against the capital is dangerous. you're being watched even in deep in the woods katniss says it's not safe to say what you think.
people often change themselves to suit other people's needs. so if a person wants a job and that job requires a certain kind of person then he/she might change themselves to get that job. in the hunger games tributes are dying all the time. but when they die are do they die as a pawn of the capital or do they die as the people they were before the games?
i think that the idea of dying the the way the tributes die is very scary. i mean being there alone not knowing weather you'll survive the next day or even the next five minutes. i think a lot of people live like that in places of the world plauged with proverty and war. they don't if they'll live or not. that is sad but i think we live like that too. you never know when you'll die. and we don't really understand death. if we die do we fade from existence just like that. is there anything more? do go as ourselves?
